Dr. Sumaira Bashir Ashai is a highly experienced Family Medicine Specialist with over 19 years of clinical experience, providing comprehensive medical care across all age groups. She earned her MBBS from Government Medical College in 2005 and earned her DNB in Family Medicine from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi in 2013. In 2014, she pursued advanced specialization in diabetes care with a Fellowship in Diabetes from Liverpool, UK.

Dr. Sumaira began her career as a Clinician and has since worked in diverse clinical environments across India and the Middle East. Following her postgraduate training, she joined the Delhi Government Health Services as a Registrar until 2016. She later moved to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where she served in the Ministry of Health, Jeddah, as a Registrar in General Medicine and Diabetology. In 2019, she returned to India and joined New City Hospital, Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir as consultant physician.

From 2021 to early 2025, she worked as a Specialist in Family Medicine and Diabetology at the Ministry of Interior, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, before relocating to the UAE in 2025.
