Dr Umesh is a highly experienced specialist ophthalmologist who has worked both in India & UAE. After a comprehensive ophthalmic training from Mumbai Grant Medical College, he started his career in 1996. For the next 10 years he served at 3 reputed multi speciality hospitals in Kerala, India.(AKG Kannur, Al Shifa & EMS Co-op in Perintalmanna). This gave a good knowledge & experience in inter disciplinary patient management, team work and compassionate patient care.

The next 12 years was a period of growth, learning new skills and patient centric care in purely ophthalmic set up, the Vasan Eye Care Group.Worked at Calicut & later at Kannur centres of Vasan.These high volume tertiary centres paved the way for his rapid improvement in ophthalmic skills with latest technologies in phacoemulsification cataract surgeries, refractive procedures like Lasik and ocular surface surgeries. Performed more than 10000 cataract surgeries & 2000 lasik procedures during this period.

The last 7 years has been in UAE with Vasan Eye & multi-speciality at Karama , Dubai.providing similar high end ophthalmic services. Throughout his tenure ,Dr Umesh has demonstrated exceptional clinical expertise in ophthalmology , with a strong focus on patient care diagnosis & surgical interventions.
