Food Sensitivity, also known as Type III pattern Food Allergy, refers to the delayed food allergy, where symptoms appear up to three days after the consumption of a trigger food, it is often impossible to draw a discernible relationship between the symptom and certain food.
The food sensitivity test is an in-vitro diagnostic test based on Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) for the semi-quantitative determination of specific immunoglobulin G(IgG).

Foods most commonly associated with food Sensitivity include: Milk and egg (17 sources), Meat (14 sources), Fish and seafood (37 sources), cereal & seeds (29 sources), nuts (13 sources), legume (10 sources), Fruits (36 sources), vegetables (51 sources), spices (31 sources), edible mushrooms (6 sources), novel foods (31 sources), coffee & tea (9 sources), others (9 sources).

Children over 12 months old can take the test. If the child is under 12 months old we would recommend that the mother is tested, as she has passed her antibodies on to the child during pregnancy.
