Dr.Sladana Pavlovic is a Specialist in the Department of Internal Medicine at the Medcare Medical Centre. After graduating in medicine from the Medical University of Graz in Austria, she enrolled in a three-year course that conferred upon her a Speciality Diploma in General Medicine. Being passionate about studying further, she completed a Speciality Diploma in Internal Medicine as well as a Diploma in Emergency Medicine. She also has to her credit, an Ultrasound Certificate.

Dr. Pavlovic is a member of the Austrian Medical Chamber and the German Society of Internal Medicine. As a fresh medical graduate, Dr. Pavlovic did a three-year rotation in General Medicine at various teaching hospitals under the aegis of the Medical University Hospital of Graz in Styria, Austria. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at a government hospital, LKH Knittelfeld in Styria, Austria. At LKH Knittelfeld, she performed abdominal, kidney and thyroid ultrasounds, as well as echocardiography. Parallely, she worked in private Internal Medicine clinics as a Locum doctor, as well as in General Medicine clinics. She also worked at the Austrian Red Cross as an Emergency Physician providing care to acutely ill patients and led a team of paramedics.

She has successfully treated conditions like deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary artery embolism, chronic respiratory diseases, arterial hypertension, hypercholesterinaemia, gastrointestinal medical conditions, vitamin deficiencies, chronic kidney disease, viral and bacterial infections, thyroid disorders and anaemia. She is also skilled in managing acute medical conditions such as MI, acute respiratory distress, hyper-/hypoglycaemia, hypertensive crisis, gastrointestinal bleedings, acute infectious diseases, allergic reactions, congestive heart failure, chronic heart disease, risk stratification for chronic heart disease in conjunction with radiologists, interpreting cardiac CTs and determining further management if necessary, arrhythmias, metabolic syndrome, as well as type I and II diabetes with its complications including diabetic coma, chronic renal disease, chronic liver disease, fatty liver, end-stage hepatic cirrhosis and electrolyte disorders.

She performs regular checkups for heart failure patients including Doppler Echo, adjusts therapy plans, and performs CPR and mechanical ventilation for initial stabilization of respiratory compromised patients and those with myocardial infarction. In her earlier job, she was part of the innovative project "Mobile Heart" where telemedicine was provided to chronic heart failure patients. Dr. Pavlovic uses the latest techniques in therapeutic management and medical interventions. She regularly attends medical conferences to maintain the highest standards of practised medicine.

During her leisure hours, she likes to follow trends in fashion, pursue photography, read, play sports, travel and of course keep abreast of the latest in the field of medicine. She speaks Bosnian, Croatian, English, German and Serbian.
