Dr. Mohammad Ahmad Hendawi is a Specialist in Internal Medicine at Medcare Medical Centre. He completed his training as a Doctor of Medicine (MD) at the Faculty of Medicine, Damascus University, Syria, and completed his internship under the Jordanian Ministry of Health. Subsequently, he did a Residency Programme in Internal Medicine in Amman, Jordan and received his qualification from the Jordanian Board in Internal Medicine.

He completed his Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Experienced Provider (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Dr. Hendawi started his career as a General Practitioner, first with AL Basheer Hospital and then Jordan Red Crescent Hospital in Amman, Jordan. He received rich experience as an Internal Medicine Resident at Al-Reweeshed Hospital in Al Mafraq, Al Basheer Hospital in Amman and Al Totanjee Hospital also in Amman, Jordan. Later, he became a Medical Registrar and worked briefly with AL Basheer Hospital in Amman, Jordan, before moving to the UAE and working in a similar capacity with the Zia Medical Centre, Dubai. He joined the Erada Centre for Treatment & Rehabilitation, Dubai, as an Internal Medicine Specialist and then with EHSUAE in Sharjah. Here, he developed expertise in a broad spectrum of procedures, from accessing central venous lines and performing thoracocentesis to managing peritoneal dialysis and administering immunisations. Additionally, he spent some time as an Adjunct Clinical Faculty at the University of Sharjah, conducting clinical teaching and evaluating students during hospital rounds.

Dr. Hendawi specialises in diagnosing and treating bacterial and viral infections, and chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidaemia and heart disease. He manages thyroid disorders, asthma, pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), gastrointestinal disorders, liver diseases, kidney diseases, anaemia, arthritis and joint disorders. He proficiently treats rheumatoid arthritis, SLE, epilepsy, glomerulonephritis, urinary tract infection, peptic ulcer disease and upper respiratory tract infection (URTI). He is passionate about advancing patient wellness through a blend of rigorous clinical assessments and personalised treatment plans.

He has successfully treated obesity and metabolic syndrome, allergies, autoimmune disorders, osteoporosis, sleep disorders, fatigue and unexplained symptoms and believes in preventive health screenings. He collaborates with medical teams and integrates the latest research to improve patient outcomes.

In his spare time, he enjoys playing Football and swimming. He speaks Arabic and English.
