Mrs. Nakhle is a DHA Licensed Clinical Psychologist with 10+ years of experience in the field of mental health, and the founder and owner of PEN Consultancy for Telehealth services (DHA Licensed Telehealth Facility). Mrs. Nakhle has been practicing in the field of mental health since 2012. She earned her BA in Psychology in 2010 and MA in Psychology in 2012, both at American University of Beirut. She was initially drawn to Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with the emphasis of helping patients identify maladaptive thoughts and develop healthier ways of coping emotionally and behaviorally. Despite her interest in CBT, she decided to adopt an eclectic approach primarily focused on Psychodynamic and Interpersonal Therapy as she is a strong believer that psychotherapy treatment should be tailored to meet the needs of every specific patient.

Throughout her diversified trainings, she has focused on Motivational Interviewing (MISR – London), Gestalt Therapy (GATLA – Slovenia), Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (Anna Freud National Center for Children and Families – London), Intensive Short Term Psychodynamic Therapy, Schema Therapy (Lebanon), Psychodynamic Therapy (Lebanon), Behavioral Activation (Oxford University – UK) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy for Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (Harvard Medical School – USA). In 2019, Mrs. Nakhle was granted full scholarship for the Harvard Program in Refugee Trauma Certificate (HPRT) at Harvard Medical School.

Before moving to the UAE, Mrs. Nakhle was involved in clinical work, community outreach programs and trainings. She spent 8 years teaching Psychology at American University of Beirut. During her years at AUBMC (2014-2020) as a clinical psychologist, she took part in co-founding an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for patients struggling with addiction and co-morbid disorders. She was assigned the role of program coordinator and the lead therapist in the group, couple, family and individual therapy sessions. She found a profound interest and reward in working with patients struggling with anxiety, grief, loss, trauma, interpersonal and relationship conflicts, stress, identity crisis and self-esteem struggles. Most of her work also involved family and couple counseling. In addition to the clinical work, she took an essential clinical role in multiple research activities within the fields of addiction, sleep disorders and behavioral change.

In 2020, Mrs. Nakhle took the decision to move to Dubai to build her career as an entrepreneur in the field of mental health and advocate for mental health and women empowerment in specific. She has been working relentlessly on building her social media presence to reach more people and create a bigger impact in the region. She has been a regular guest on MBC Sabah El Kheir Ya Arab since 2021 where she brings forward mental-health and well-being related topics. Recently Mrs. Nakhle founded and launched a telehealth facility for psychological services for adults struggling with mental health and wellbeing challenges and she's looking to work through these emotional and psychological difficulties. With this great recent start, Mrs. Nakhle hopes to continue taking part in raising awareness on mental health, building bigger collaborations and most importantly working with this community on eliminating the stigma and promoting well-being on all levels and dimensions.
