Ms. Elise Bitar is a Clinical Psychologist in the Psychology Department of the Jumeirah branch of Medcare Medical Centre. She completed her Bachelor's in Psychology from the Lebanese University in Lebanon, and then a Master's in Clinical Psychology from the University of Balamand also in Lebanon. She has trained as a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist under Professor Lela Chikhani and SPIAL.

In the initial days of her career, Ms. Bitar chose to be self-employed, working part-time as well as remotely as a Clinical Psychologist and Psychotherapist in Lebanon. She garnered invaluable experience as a Trainer at the Educational Centre for Research and Development (ECRD) and the College Notre Dame Frères Lasalliens. She also spent some time as a part-time Psychoanalysis Teacher at SPIAL, as a Consultant, Staff Care Trainer and Group Support Animator at IRC and as a Staff Counselor at UNRWA, all in Lebanon. She then relocated to the UAE, working full-time as a Clinical Psychologist at Omnicare Medical & Aesthetic and as a part-time Psychotherapist at Spring Health in Dubai.

Ms. Bitar’s expertise covers the areas of children and adolescents, adults and corporates. She is proficient in carrying out psycho-educational assessments for learning disabilities in children, emotional assessments, psychotherapy for issues like anxiety, depression, mood swings, siblings’ rivalry, attachment issues, their well-being and parental counselling.

In adults, she performs personality testing, and psychotherapy for conditions like anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, grief, abuse, phobias, sleep disorders, and eating disorders that include couples’ therapy. She has successfully executed mental health-related training, group support and counselling for corporates.

She speaks Arabic, English and French.
