Dr. Maisa Ziadni is a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in pain psychology. She currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Stanford University, contributing to the Systems Neuroscience and Pain Laboratory. Dr. Ziadni completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, specializing in Health Psychology, at Wayne State University, and postdoctoral training in Pain Psychology at Stanford University.

Her clinical focus includes pain management, in addition to general mental health conditions, including adjustment to chronic illness, traumatic stress, relational conflict and mood disorders. She uses evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, emotion-focused techniques, and biofeedback. She also conducts pre-treatment evaluations for advanced pain management interventions and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.

Dr. Ziadni is an accomplished researcher and has co-authored over 60 peer-reviewed articles. Her work spans behavioral pain management, opioid reduction, and the development of digital pain interventions.
