5. What to expect during a visit?

During an appointment, there will be lots of questions asked as the psychiatrist will try and evaluate your mental state. There will also be some physical examination and mental history checks. You may need to have some physical samples tested in a lab.

6. Do I need to visit the psychiatrist more than once?

Yes, you will need to visit more than once, there may be tests that need to be done and results to be further evaluated. Psychiatric treatment and observation also require more than several visits to help and assist you through your mental issues and pain.
