Parents would normally come up or research some ideas for kids’ activities at home. Here are a few exercise ideas for kids at home during COVID-19.
1. Hula hoops
There’s nothing classier than hula hoops when discussing fun exercise for kids. To do that, a hula hoop is required, or you can be creative with crafting one. Hula hoops can be a great exercise as well as an engaging activity for kids.
2. Twister
Need your kids to stretch more? Don’t fret; there’s a fun game called Twister that you can try. Typically this game is played with 2 to 4 people, but it’s not impossible to play it alone.
To play this game, one person should be in charge of being a referee. A referee spins the spinner and reads aloud the colour and directions according to the spinner. The players need to extend or stretch their limbs to touch the colour chosen by the referee.
3. Capture the flag
This classic game has been around for over 60 years. The rule of the game is simple; you divide the team into 2. Each team is given a flag, and they need to hide it. Now, the objective is to capture the flag and bring it back to their territory of the capturing team.
Each team also chooses their land, and if the opponent’s team member is caught on their land, they are sent to jail. Once in jail, it requires someone from their team to free them.
4. Hopscotch
Hopscotch is a jumping game that is usually played outside; however, it is not impossible to move the area indoors.
All you need to do is to draw the squares that will be used to jump. Anyone who jumps out of the boxes loses the game.
5. Home workout
If you are aiming to keep your kids sweating, there are tons of home workout ideas for kids. Starting from jumping jacks, walking hands, mountain climbers, or even jogging.
